This roof replacement took place in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho on August 20, 2025. The homeowner reached out after seeing the quality of work we completed for a nearby neighbor and hearing firsthand about our process and crew. One of the homeowners is a prior military veteran, and we were proud to extend our veteran discount as a small way to give back.
During the inspection, it was clear the roof was at the end of its lifespan at over 20 years old. While there were no active leaks, the shingles showed significant granule loss, an early warning sign that the fiberglass mat was beginning to be exposed. Waiting much longer would have increased the risk of leaks and more extensive damage.
We completed a full tear off down to the decking to properly assess the condition of the roof system. This allowed us to inspect the foundation of the roof rather than installing over old materials. During this process, we identified a few sections of decking that had been affected by past moisture intrusion.
Those areas were replaced to ensure a solid, secure surface for the new roofing system. The damage was minor and isolated, and addressing it now prevented what would have likely turned into a much larger issue if the homeowner had waited another year.
If your roof is nearing the end of its lifespan or showing early signs of wear, our team is here to help. Schedule a professional inspection to understand your options and protect your home before small issues become major repairs.
