This roof had that look where you sort of already know what's going on before you even climb up there. Shiny spots everywhere. That's exposed fiberglass — it means the granules that actually protect the shingle are gone. No active leaks yet, but the roof was done. Just a matter of time before water found its way through.

We tore the whole thing off and replaced it with CertainTeed Landmark in Resawn Shake. Two days, start to finish. Found one spot where the decking had rotted out — water had been sitting there long enough to do some damage underneath. Replaced it and kept moving. Good thing they pulled the trigger when they did, because another winter with that decking would've turned a small repair into a bigger conversation.

After we wrapped up, the homeowners mentioned they'd had neighbors coming by asking who did the work. That's sort of the best compliment you can get on a roofing job. Nobody walks up to a stranger's door to ask about their roof unless it actually looks good.
